Mayor's Message
|
Welcome to Humber Bay, a must-see for summer tourists and a great place to live all year round! Humber Bay is a modest, quaint city with a population of 61,000 situated on the shores of Humber Lake in Central Ontario, north of the city of Toronto.
As the mayor, it is my duty to represent the citizens of Humber Bay and maintain its reputation as the premier destination of Ontario’s north. Maintaining a healthy balance between tourist destination and city for the people is a difficult one. It is a balance that a great many of our citizens are active in upholding.
Shopping attracts many to our quaint shops, restaurants, museums, and galleries. Humber Bay also offers many recreational options. Biking and hiking trails, picnic areas, sports fields, golf courses, and swimming pools are located throughout our City. Events and festivals fill our calendar in the summer and throughout the year.
We have a strong business environment with locally owned companies, nationally recognized retail stores, and family dining establishments with a lengthy history in the area. Farming has long been a staple of the region’s economy and remains a thriving component of our community. Humber Bay’s businesses and residents support each other making Humber Bay an outstanding place to live, work, and play.
Our website will help you learn more about Humber Bay, a community dedicated to its residents and all those who visit. From city services and by-laws to employment information to attractions and events, you will find it here.
